Kala-i Füsus – The Castle of Gems
Legend has it that 6,000 years ago, a young woman, owner of a vast and renowned land, was determined to build a castle worthy of its reputation. She sacrificed everything she had, and all her wealth to see it completed. Yet, no matter how hard she tried, the castle remained unfinished. It became her life’s purpose, the sole reason she continued to live.
On her finger, she wore a ring set with a rare and precious gemstone - the Ring of Immortality. She had sworn never to remove it. But as the years passed and her dream remained incomplete, she made the ultimate sacrifice.
She removed the ring and sold it.
The castle was finally built, but the woman, who had once been bound to eternal life, perished.
“What is the point of living if one loses their reason to live anyway?”
At last, she had fulfilled her purpose.
And so, she left in peace.
Years later, the castle stood strong, a refuge for the people of the land, protecting them for generations to come.
The way I see it, Seyran’s castle is Ferit.
He is her sanctuary, her protector, her home. He stands tall in the face of every storm, not just for her but for everyone in need - offering refuge, shielding his family, and bearing their burdens. And she has made it her life’s purpose to give him a better life - to heal his wounds, guide him through hardships, help him grow, and overcome his insecurities. She is devoted to rebuilding him, restoring him, and shaping him into a better man.
And if it means sacrificing herself for him, so be it. As long as he gets to live a long, prosperous, and happy life, it is worth it.
The ring with the rare “red” gemstone, on the other hand, represents Seyran to Ferit.
A ring he swore to for eternity - an oath never to let go of her, to remain true to her forever. An immortality ring - she is the very thing keeping him alive. She is his most precious, his compass, his anchor, and the reason he holds on.
And every time he goes astray, every time he takes off the ring, for whatever reason, and breaks his oath - it is his end.
And he knows it.
Thinking about the times Seyran left Ferit for his own good - for example during her illness - how she surrendered to death as long as he could have a better life without her. And thinking about the times Ferit had to let go of Seyran - for example; during her illness and in these recent events - how he was completely lost and welcoming death with open arms.
So the idea is, until they have fulfilled their purpose together - until they have built each other up completely, with nothing left unfinished, nothing left unspoken - death cannot be a peaceful release. It would only bring loss, ruin, and destruction to both of them. As long as they remain incomplete, separation is not just painful; it is devastation.
The merging of the castle maquette and the gemstone into a single structure - a ring - symbolises their bond, their complementarity.
One cannot exist without the other.
In this story, the castle may stand tall, but without the ring, it is destined to crumble, abandoned and lifeless. And the ring, no matter how rare, precious or powerful, holds no meaning without the castle to protect and give it purpose. Together, they create something unbreakable. Separated, they are nothing but ruins and a forgotten jewel.
Only when their journey is complete can they finally welcome death - not as an end, but as the fulfillment of everything they were meant to be. Only then their legacy - the ring and the castle - will remain, safeguarding future generations - their descendants.✨🏰♥️✨
